Change the Computation Height for Rooms

If a room includes a sloped wall, consider adjusting the computation height to produce more accurate results for the room area and volume.

The computation height of a room is a read only parameter that is set from the computation height of the level associated with the base level of the room element. The default computation height for rooms is 0’ or 0 mm above the base level. To change the computation height of a room change the properties of the level element.

  1. Open a section view (or any view in which you can see defined levels).

(Optional) Make rooms visible in the section view.

  2. Select a level that serves as the base level for one or more rooms.
  3. In the Properties palette, under Dimensions, for Computation Height, enter the distance above the level to use when computing the room area and volume.
  4. Click OK.
Note: The change in computation height affects all rooms that use this level as its base level.
