Revit uses the height of a room to compute its volume.
You can specify the height of a room in the following ways:
- Change the room height graphically. After adding a room to a plan view, open a section view that shows the room. In the section view, you can select the room and use controls to adjust the upper and lower boundaries of the room.
- Define room height parameters. In a plan or section view, select the room and edit its properties. The Upper Limit, Limit Offset, Level, and Base Offset parameters define the height of the room.
The Unbounded Height parameter shows the largest potential height of the room, based on the room height parameters. This value is read-only. (The room’s actual height may be changed by room-bounding elements, such as intervening floors and roofs.)
