There are several ways of assigning a release to a structure, when at least one release type is on the active list:
If no selection has been made before opening the Release dialog - To add a release to a structure, select the release type from the active list, then click the node or element in which the release is to be defined. The assigned release is marked (an arrow on the left side of the release type) on the active list. The cursor changes its shape to the icon of the assigned release, when it is outside the dialog. When the cursor is in the drawing area, the neighboring structure bar or node is highlighted.
If a selection is made before the Release dialog is open - After opening the dialog, the selection list with the current selection is entered into the group Current Selection field. To assign the appropriate release type to the structure nodes or bars, select the release type from the active list and press ENTER or click Apply.
Note: The list of selected structure nodes or bars is removed from the Current Selection field.
If the selection is made when the Release dialog is already open dialog - Position the cursor in the Current Selection field. When you move the cursor outside the dialog, the cursor is in the selection mode. Therefore, you can select any structure nodes or bars and their numbers are displayed in the Current Selection field. To assign the appropriate release type from the current list, select the release type and press ENTER or click Apply.
Note: The list of selected structure nodes or bars is removed from the Current Selection field.
