To set the parameters for items with probe paths

The parameters area of the Inspect dialogs displays size and position information for the item you are working with. When you create an item using the:

Click the Edit button to update the selected item; click the New button to create a new item of the selected type.

These options are available:

Specifies the nominal values of the item. The button toggles between the positional (in XYZ coordinates) and orientation (in IJK vector values) information of the feature.

Note: You cannot edit the IJK values of 2D items.

For inspection groups, the nominals of the first point are displayed. For probed ellipses, lines, slots, and rectangles, two sets of IJK values are displayed: the first set specifies the original orientation of the feature's reference plane; the second set specifies the orientation along the feature's length.

This button applies to inspection groups and all geometric features.

Specifies the radius or diameter/width of an arc, cylinder, sphere, or slot. The button toggles between the display of radius or diameter/width. For arcs, cylinders, and spheres the diameter is displayed; for slots, the width is displayed.

Specifies the radius or diameter of the top of a cone. The button toggles between the display of the radius and diameter.

Specifies the radius or diameter of the bottom of a cone. The button toggles between the display of the radius and diameter.

Specifies the start and end angle of the probe path for an arc, cone, cylinder, or ellipse. The angles control the sector of the feature to be probed, enabling you to measure partial features.

Specifies the start and end azimuth angles of the probe path of a sphere. The angles control the sector of the feature to be probed, enabling you to measure partial features.

Specifies the start and end elevation angles of a sphere and its probe path. The angles control the sector of the feature to be probed, enabling you to measure partial features.

Specifies the length of a line, slot, rectangle, or ellipse.

Specifies the width of a rectangle or ellipse.

Specifies the height of a cylinder or cone to be measured. The value determines the length to be probed on the cylinder or cone. Use it when you do not want to probe the whole feature height, or when the feature in the CAD model is incomplete.

Specifies the half angle of a cone (the nominal angle of the cone).

Specifies internal or external probing for a geometric feature.

Specifies the direction vector of the feature and its probe path. Clicking this button updates the feature's IJK values. This option applies to arcs, cones, cylinders, lines, and spheres.

When you have edited the items details, click the Save Feature button to save your changes and return to view model, or click the Cancel button to return to view mode without saving your changes.
