View and Change the Project Standard in Areabook

Change the project standard that determines the specific parameters used for calculating and reporting area data.

1. Open a project with defined rooms.
2. Click Quantification tab Areabook Extension panel(Calculation Settings).

   The Calculation Settings dialog displays.

3. Select the Project Standard tab to view the current project standard (International Standard or the German DIN Standard).
4. If another standard is required, click Change.
5. In the Change Area Calculation Standard dialog, under New Standard, specify a different standard.
6. (Optional) Select Set as default for new projects to ensure future projects will use the same standard.
7. When complete:
   • Click Restore Defaults to change the default settings of the Previous Standard listed above.
   • Click Cancel to close the Change Area Calculation Standard dialog without making changes.
   • Click OK to change the project standard as specified.

An additional warning prompt displays to ensure you want to make the specified changes or not. If you change the project standard, all existing Areabook data is removed from the project.

Note: Changing between DIN 277 editions will reset existing Area Calculation. However:

• Room contour, name, number are kept.
• Automatic subareas are recreated.
• DIN 277 definitions are assigned according to room names and matches in the area assignment file.
• Reductions, comments and manually defined subareas must be recreated.
