Identify Small Edges with the MAT
In the following steps we will be looking at the small edges in the model. Unintentional small edges can lead to poorly formed mesh elements or a high element count. These effects can lead to longer runtimes and may be difficult to troubleshoot.
Select Edge Lengths in the ribbon at the top.

Note: There are only 2 edges that appear using this model, filtering may be required in more complex models. Some features that are pointed out by the Model Assessment Toolkit may be intentional and required in the model. This tool is intended to help find issues, it is up to the user to decide if the features are intended or problematic.
Select the first edge length in the list as shown here:

Select the Auto Isolate checkbox .
Note: The graphic area should now only show the large chip similar to:

Select the Auto Zoom checkbox.
Manually zoom out by scrolling the mouse.
Note: We can see that there is an accidental chamfer on this chip. Selecting the other small edge will zoom us to the other short edge created by the chamfer.
