Workflow: To Find and Resolve Clashes

With BIM 360 Glue, you can find clashes in merged models. You can easily detect, pinpoint, and track clashes as your team resolves issues.

Using the clash review tools, you and your team can manage and streamline the coordination process. Individual model contributors can update their models, check for clashes, and use the Glue clash status, markup, and notification capabilities to resolve conflicts quickly and efficiently.

VDC/BIM Managers can monitor the status of project coordination as well as run clash tests, add comments, update clash status, and send notifications.

If you've installed the Revit, AutoCAD, or Navisworks add-ins for gluing models to BIM 360 Glue, you can also use the Clash Pinpoint feature.

  1. Find Clashes.

Select the models to compare for the clash analysis.

  2. View Clash Results.

Identify problem areas by grouping the results associated with specific models.

  3. Add a Clash Markup

Annotate clash results with text or linear markups.

  4. Send Clash Notifications.

For each individual clash or group of clashes, you can send notifications to inform project members so that the conflicts are addressed.

  5. Resolve Clashes.

Project members can review and resolve clashes in their authoring tool with Clash Pinpoint or using drag and drop.
