Learn how to use the Break Link command to remove the associative link between the driven design and the driving assembly in Fusion.
The associative link between the driven design and the driving assembly is broken, and the assembly context is deleted. Any bodies and features are placed in their respective custom folders in the Browser within the default component.
When you open a design that contains disassociated assembly contexts due to copying or moving the driven component or driving assembly, a warning informs you about this and gives you an option to automate the cleanup of the disassociated assembly contexts.
Clicking the Break Link button within the warning automatically breaks the associative link between the driven design and the driving assembly, and the disassociated assembly contexts are deleted. Any bodies and features are placed in their respective custom folders in the Browser within the default component.
