Learn how to generate 2D drawings from your designs in the Drawing workspace in Fusion.
If you plan to reuse title blocks, borders, document settings, or sheet settings across multiple drawings, create a drawing template to save time and apply consistent standards. You can also create placeholder views and placeholder tables that automatically generate drawing views and part lists from the referenced design when you use the template to create a new drawing.
When you create a drawing from the Fusion modeling environment, the system generates a 2D projection of the components you select. The drawing view thus generated is referred to as a base view. Once you place the base view in the drawing, you can generate orthogonal and isometric projected views from it.
The system calculates the most appropriate scale for the base view at the time you create the drawing. If necessary, you can change the scale later. By default, projected views inherit the scale from the base view.
When creating a drawing, the system picks up settings such as the projection angle, annotation format, the title block, and the specified drawing format.
