The power of simulation is that you can gain insight into how a design might perform for its intended role, and pre-emptively find problems so you can adjust the design. The Compare tools are activated when a study has been solved and results are available, and enable you to inspect results from different studies within the active project.
The following are examples of when you might want to compare results:
The Compare tab contains the following tools:
All of the view windows change with the active window.
Synchronize Camera locks the model navigation between the different views.
Synchronize Result Type changes the result variable in all views (if available).
Synchronize Min/Max (standard results viewer) sets the legend minimum and maximum values to be the same across views.
Synchronize Legends (online results viewer) synchronizes the legend range and Result Settings across views. This command applies to Static Stress, Thermal, Thermal Stress, Modal Frequencies, Structural Buckling, Electronics Cooling, and Injection Molding Simulation studies.
Alters the number and layout of View windows.
All of the animation capabilities are available for the active view window.
Enable you to modify the Legend Controls and Legend Min/Max of the active view.
