Simulation Inspect tools enable you to study your model, or analyze your results more closely than you can with a simple visual inspection. Some tools are available in the Setup tab; others are available in the Results tab.
Use the links in the table to find out more about the tools.
Tool | Location | Purpose |
---|---|---|
![]() |
Results tab | Also listed as Slice Planes, this command cuts through and hides sections of the model so you can inspect the data internal to the part. |
![]() |
Results tab | Displays the location of both the original and displaced center of mass, and the displacement vector. |
![]() |
Setup tab | Displays each component in an assembly as a different color to make them easier to differentiate. Hides physical materials and appearances. |
![]() |
Setup tab | Checks key measurements for design purposes, or to compare with the real world counterpart. |
![]() |
Results tab | Applies tags to record the result value and coordinate position at specified points, anywhere on the part. |
![]() |
Results tab | For structural analysis studies, this command shows the reaction forces and moments experienced by constrained components, under load. |
![]() |
Results tab | Applies a tag to indicate the location and value of the maximum and miniumum data points. |
![]() |
Results tab | Applies tags to record the result value at the specified locations on the surface of the part. |
