Load all texture tiles Ctrl + Up arrow key Command + Up arrow key Shows all texture tiles associated with a model.
Danger: Depending on the number and resolution of texture tiles on your model, showing all of the texture tiles may rapidly use all of the graphics memory on your computer resulting in diminished interactive performance. To learn more about optimizing texture memory, see Graphics memory optimization.
Load all visible texture tiles Shift + Up arrow key Shift + Up arrow key Shows only visible textures on a model.
Danger: Depending on the number and resolution of texture tiles on your model, showing all of the texture tiles may rapidly use all of the graphics memory on your computer resulting in diminished interactive performance. To learn more about optimizing texture memory, see Graphics memory optimization.

Up or Down arrow key

Up or Down arrow key

Position the cursor over a texture tile on the model and press the hotkey to show or hide the texture. See also Hide and show texture tiles on a model.
Hide all texture tiles

Ctrl + Down arrow key

Ctrl + Down arrow key

Hides all textures on the object.

Show all texture tiles

Ctrl + Up arrow key

Ctrl + Up arrow key

Shows all texture tiles on a model.

Danger: Depending on the resolution and number of texture tiles on your model, showing all texture tiles on the model may consume all of the graphics memory on your computer. See Graphics memory optimization.

Composite paint strokes

' (apostrophe)

' (apostrophe)

Forces the Gigatexel Engine to stop dynamically buffering paint strokes and synchronize textures with all outstanding strokes. While processing, Mudbox appears unresponsive, and a progress bar displays at the bottom of the screen.

Use this hotkey when working with large texture datasets if the Gigatexel Engine buffering indicator interrupts your painting workflow. This lets you keep the Gigatexel Engine turned on, but also manually control when the compositing process occurs, if necessary.

Open Adjust Color window Ctrl + M Command + M Opens the Adjust Color window, which lets you perform color correction on paint layers.
Freeze from Paint Layer Ctrl + F Command + F Freezes the mesh based on the luminosity of your paint layers. Areas of low luminance (black) produce more freezing, and areas of high luminance (white) less freezing. If the layer has integer color, the freeze levels correspond to the full range of luminance. If the layer has floating-point color, the range of freeze levels is calculated relative to the lowest and highest image values. The lowest value produces the strongest freeze, and the highest pixel value produces no freeze.

See also Freeze mesh based on a paint layer.

Object to Layer
Export all Paint Layers

Exports a single image file containing the merged result of all paint layers in the channel. The paint layers are merged in the exported image file, but remain separate in Mudbox so you can continue painting. See also Export paint layers.
