Dock Menu

The Dock menu provides controls for positioning the Layers dialog within the program interface.

Default menu: Tools menu > Viewport Canvas > Activate any paint tool or click Layers Dialog. > Layers dialog > Menu bar > Dock menu
Alt menu: Materials menu > Create/Edit Maps > Paint Bitmap (Viewport Canvas) > Activate any paint tool or click Layers Dialog. > Layers dialog > Menu bar > Dock menu

Dock Left / Dock Right

Attaches the Layers dialog as a vertical panel to the left or right side, respectively, of the viewports.

Float

The Layers dialog floats freely over the program interface. You can place it anywhere on the screen by dragging the title bar.

This is the default state.
