What's New Card Filtering with Flattening (Markdown)

When you enable filtering for a what's new card collection, you can also specify at the top level the flattening of all what's new card collections, the effect of which is that whenever a filter is selected, all groups, collections, headers, and text within the filter section will disappear, leaving only the remaining cards merged together in one collection.

Outer Layer

Filtering does not apply here.

The filtering applies to all collections within this section.

To test filter flattening, select any filter in the drop-down. This text and all the following subsections will be replaced, leaving one collection containing all the remaining what's new cards.

Do so now by clearing all filters and then selecting markdown group in the filter drop-down.

About filter tags

The filter tags you add to card topics populate the filter widget drop-down.

To add a filter with groups

Enclose the collection groups inside the filter section.

About collection topic filters

The collection topic filter defines where the filter widget will appear and which collections it applies to.

About filter groups

Filter groups set the bounds of a collection as well as text & titles that will be hidden if all the cards in that group are 'filtered out.'
