Create and Track Assets on Sheets
You can create and visually track assets in the Sheets tool to easily understand when assets may be falling behind or holding up other assets.

Create Asset Markups
On 2D sheets, you will first create markups to represent new or existing assets.
Click Sheets from the left navigation to open the Sheets tool.
Click a sheet to open it.
Click
in the left navigation.
Click Show Asset Markups to start creating asset markups.
Click
in the toolbar that appears at the top-right.
You can create an asset or create a markup for an existing asset.
To create an asset, select a category from the Categories tab.

Along the top of the same toolbar, select the markup tool you want to use. You can create markups using a line, a rectangle, a polyline, a custom polygon, an ellipse, or a highlighter.
With the markup tool selected, find the appropriate area on the sheet and create the markup.
Tip: You can continue to make multiple assets with the same category and markup type. Hold SPACEBAR to pan and press ESC to exit.Your new asset is now tracked on this sheet and in the Assets tool. Use the right panel to add details and references, duplicate or delete the asset.
If a location is defined on the sheet you created an asset markup on, the asset will inherit the defined location.
View, Search, and Filter Asset Markups
Open a sheet in the Sheets tool.
Click
in the left navigation.
Click Show Asset Markups to bring up the assets on the sheet.
On the left panel, search for specific assets or filter using the
icon.
Click an asset to bring it into view.
Edit, Duplicate, and Delete Asset Markups
Click an asset on the sheet or in the left panel, click to bring a specific asset into view.
Tip: You can select multiple markups to edit multiple assets at one time. Clickin the toolbar and click
. Drag over markups to select. Hold SPACEBAR to pan. Click ESC to exit.
In the right panel that appears:
Click
to copy the asset.
Click
to delete the asset markup. This only removes the markup and not the asset itself from the project. The asset will still be found in the Assets tool. Click Delete in the pop-up window.
Note: For members with Manage permissions for the Assets tool, you can also delete the asset from the project. If available to you, select Permanently delete asset from project then click Delete.Edit any asset details by clicking into the respective fields.
Add and Remove References to Asset Markups
Add photos, videos, forms, issues, submittals, and other references to an asset to connect all relevant information to an asset.
Click an asset on the sheet or in the left panel, click to bring a specific asset into view.
Navigate to the References tab.
To add, click Add references. Select any of the project items from the list and add accordingly.
