Estimate

• Estimate | Bid Context in Estimate Table (Beta) – When estimate line items are connected to bid packages, you can see the associated RFP and bid packages alongside estimate data. This gives estimators greater visibility into how estimate line items align with bidding workflows, helping teams maintain stronger connections between estimating and bid management activities.

  

• Estimate | Import to Estimate – Members can import estimate line items with quantities and costs directly into Forma Estimate using a standardized Excel template. This streamlines the transition from spreadsheets and legacy estimating workflows, reducing manual data entry, and helping teams get estimates into Forma Estimate faster.

  

• Cost Markups | Cost Markups Enhancements – You can now choose whether to distribute cost markups across all line items or keep them separate. In the Estimate table, see distributed cost markups in the new Cost markups column. The new Grand total column shows the total cost of the line item, including cost markups. Excel exports also now include cost markup data alongside your estimate data.

  

Bid

• Qualification | Capacity Intelligence – Capacity Intelligence is a new risk management analytic for Qualification and Bidding in Preconstruction. General contractors will have new insights into how much work a sub is bidding on with their company and when that sub would be likely exceed their set limits for projects. This insight is designed to safeguard subs from being overcommitted which puts them at risk of default.

  

• Bid Management | Connect Estimate Line Items to Bid Packages (Beta) – Connect estimating and bidding workflows by connecting estimate line items to bid packages in Forma Bid (Beta). Internal estimate values appear next to subcontractor bids, so you can compare estimates and bids during bid review.

• Bid | Proposal Agent – The Proposal Agent extracts structured bid data from subcontractor proposal PDFs in Forma Bid (Beta), including cost breakdowns, inclusions, and exclusions. It also matches uploaded proposals to the corresponding companies in Forma Bid.

• Builders Network | Update Company Profile in Bid tool (Beta) – Your company profile is now editable directly in the Bid tool (Beta), creating a more seamless experience without leaving the bidding workflow in Forma.

• Qualification | Master Services Agreements in Bid Tool (Beta) – MSA documents are now available to view and download from the Bidders tab in Forma Bid (Beta).
