You can use the Infrastructure Parts Editor to publish catalogs of drainage or piping part assemblies to Autodesk InfraWorks or Autodesk Civil 3D.
- In Parts Editor, click the Publish Tab.
- Click Publish.
- Checkmark all the assemblies in the selected catalog that you want to publish.
- Click Next.
- The Publish dialog displays.
- If there are any errors or warnings, expand the line item to view the errors and/or warnings in detail.
Note: You can expand a row for an individual assembly to review warnings associated with it.
- Once you are satisfied that your catalog is free of errors, and that any warnings are either resolved or found acceptable, select the products to publish the catalog to.
You can publish to either Autodesk InfraWorks, Autodesk Civil 3D, or both applications at once.
Note: If you choose to publish to Autodesk Civil 3D, the catalog will be saved to different locations depending on the content domain you selected in the Parts Editor. If you are working in the Drainage Structure content domain, the default save location is C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D xxx(year)\enu\Pipes Catalog. If you are working in the Piping Domain, the default save location is C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D xxx(year)\enu\Pressure Pipes Catalog. - When finished, click OK.
Your catalog will be built into your InfraWorks parts library for the model you selected.
Note: When you post custom catalogs to your parts library, InfraWorks will includes the new content in the style catalog for that drainage component type. You can switch to a custom component type by selecting the desired object in InfraWorks, then using the Stack to change the component style. You can also use the Stack to modify all of the parametric attributes that you exposed in the Parts Editor. - Click the Texture Thumbnail in the Materials section of the Stack to specify textures for your custom parts.
