To Add Contour Labels

Note: You can use the Properties palette to change the surface that contour labels reference. You can select multiple labels and change the surface they refer to all at once.

To add single contour labels

  1. Click Annotate tabLabels & Tables panelAdd Labels menuSurfaceContour - Single.
  2. Select the contour to label.

To add multiple contour labels

  1. Click Annotate tab Labels & Tables panel Add Labels menu SurfaceContour - Multiple.
  2. Select the contours to label by specifying the start and end points of the contour label line.
  3. Press Enter.

To add multiple contour labels at an interval

  1. Click Annotate tabLabels & Tables panelAdd Labels menuSurfaceContour - Multiple At Interval.
  2. Select the contours to label by specifying the start and end points of the contour label line.
  3. Specify the interval and press Enter.
    4. Note: You can specify the default contour label interval in the AddContourLabelingGroup command settings.
