Create Desktop Pools and Assign Users

Desktop Pools are collections of digital desktops assigned to a specific region. An organization administrator can manage existing Desktop Pools or create them in different regions. Once members are assigned, they’ll have access to the workplace and all its applications.

  1. Click on the "Workplaces" tab on the left to view Workplaces. The default Desktop Pool is aligned with the region defined by your Autodesk Image Template (AIT).

  1. For a single-region license, your Desktop Pool will only include that region. If your license covers multiple regions, you can add additional regions to cater to a geographically diverse team. Select the appropriate region from the dropdown menu to configure your Desktop Pool. After adding a new Desktop Pool, a confirmation notification will appear at the bottom of the screen, verifying the successful setup.

  1. Click the person icon to the right of the Desktop Pool list to assign users. In the pop-up window, select the members to include in the Desktop Pool. Upon successful testing, this Workplace can be created in Production.
