- From the
Start menu, click
Autodesk
PartMaker >
PartMaker/SwissCAM. Alternatively, double-click the shortcut icon on the desktop.
PartMaker opens and the Setup dialog is displayed.
- Click the Close button to close the Setup dialog. You will learn how to use this dialog later in this Getting Started guide.
- Before programming the part, you need to open the Tools and Cycles files you want to work with. To do this:
- Select File > Open Tools File to display the Open Tools File dialog. Browse to your PartMaker User Files folder and select the getting_started_inch.tdb file in the Getting_Started_Tutorial subfolder.
- Select File > Open Cycles File to display the Open Cycles File dialog. Browse to your PartMaker installation folder and select the getting_started_inch.cdb file in the Getting_Started_Tutorial subfolder.
You will learn how to add new tools and cycles to these files later in this Getting Started guide.
