Create a deterioration model to predict failure for your assets.
Make sure you have already set up an asset group set to use in the model. If you plan to use a failure definition, make sure you have this set up too.
To create a deterioration model:
- Go to Analysis
Deterioration Models and click Create Deterioration Model.
Or, you could also duplicate an existing model and edit it.
- Select an asset group set.
- Enter a model name.
- Optionally, select a failure definition. You can also add this later if you want to.
- Click Create Deterioration Model.
- The model will take a few minutes to initialize. Once it does, you will see a table listing all of the asset groups.
- If you didn't select a failure definition or if some of your groups don't have enough failures to create a curve (at least 5 failures required), you will need to select a survival curve method for each group you want results for.
- When ready, you can save and run your model.
Deterioration models have three possible statuses:
- Complete: The model is in a ready state. This status does not necessarily mean that the model has been run (that is, there may not be any results yet).
- In progress: The model is initializing or being run.
- Failed: The model run failed.
