Migrate custom material and color styles to the latest versions of materials and appearances.
Access
On the ribbon, click Tools tab 
Materials and Appearances panel
Material Browser. In the Material Browser toolbar, at the bottom, click
(Manage)
Migrate Inventor Styles.
On the Tools tab Materials and Appearances panel, click
Appearance Browser. In the Appearance Browser toolbar, at the bottom, click
(Manage)
Migrate Inventor Styles.
Migrate from
Styles library
- Specifies the style library XML file to migrate.
- Color Styles Library
- When selected, migrates color styles to appearances.
- Material Styles Library
- When selected, migrates material styles to materials.
Note: When selected, includes the color styles XML file.
Migrate to
- Create New Library
- When selected, creates a custom library for migrated content.
- Select Existing Library
- When selected, imports styles into an existing library.
- Material Library
- Specifies a location and name for a new or existing library.
Migrate color styles to generic
When selected, a generic appearance is created for each color style in the appearance of the legacy Inventor shaded view color style.
The appearance display name remains the same as the name of the color style you are migrating from.
