Set the default layout

You can set the default layout to use in the Preferences window. The available layouts are the default layouts, as well as any layouts that you have saved, as shown in the the Panels > Saved Layouts menu in the view panel.

To set the default layout

1. Choose Windows > Settings/Preferences > Preferences to open the Preferences window.
2. Select UI Elements from the Categories list on the left.
3. Under Panel Configurations, select Starting new scenes: > Use layout specified below.
4. Select the layout you want to use from the list.
