Quickstart Fill analysis: Tutorial review

In this tutorial, you:

• Created a project
• Imported a CAD model
• Used Fill Preview to look at the filling pattern with different gate locations
• Automatically meshed the part
• Set up and ran the analysis
• Reviewed results

Be Adventurous

The results are less than ideal. Ideally the center two buttons fill at the same time as the outsides. What would you alter to enable the center two tabs to fill at the same time as the outside edges? Some suggestions include:

• Look at the other results available. What insights do they offer.
• Save the study with a new name using (Application menu > Save > Save Study As) and run a second analysis with the melt temperature at 270 C - an increase of 10 C. Compare the results between the two studies.
