Filler dialog
This dialog contains specific information about the filler included in the material. Use the Add and Remove buttons to add or remove filler data to the table.
Dialog components | Explanation |

Filler | Select the type of filler included in the material from drop-down menu |
Weight % (1:100) | Enter the weight of the fiber/filler included in the material. |
Confidential Filler | If this option is selected the filler data will not be visible to users of the udb file. |
Adding data to the Filler Data table
- Choose a Filler from the drop-down list
- Type a Weight. The number is a percentage between 1-100.
- Click Add. The filler information will be displayed in the Filler Data table.
Edit filler properties
- Click on the filler in the Filler Data table.
- Click Edit Properties to open the Filler Properties dialog.
- Make your edits in the appropriate places. Note: The software stores the fiber diameter. When you enter an Initial length, the Aspect ratio changes based on the initial length and the diameter. If you then change the Aspect ratio, the Initial length will be recalculated.
Removing data from the Filler Data table
- Click an entry in the list.
- Click Remove. The complete entry is removed.
For old mpl or aml file before AMDF 2021.2 release
When user open old mpl or aml file before AMDF 2021.2 release into AMDF 2023 or new version, then they need below steps to activate the rest of material properties:
- If material is unfilled, then select Unfilled button in filler tab.
- If material is filled, then user need to activate Apply buttton. It can be done by either tick and untick confidentiald button OR click Add button next to filler weight percetnage. Either of these changes allow to activate Apply button. Once Apply button is clicked then user can progress to more material properties.
