Describes the workflow of applying an EBPA buildstyle to a slice stack
An EBPA, short for Encrypted Build Processor Archive, can package proprietary and customized toolpath generation algorithms with tailored exposition of configuration parameters. EBPA buildstyles are provided in a dedicated window with the exposed methods and parameters made available.
By default, Netfabb comes with a selection of EBPA buildstyles, stored in the EBPA Library, a folder structure inside Netfabb's installation folder, and displayed in this dedicated window. EBPA buildstyles are created using Autodesk® Advanced Toolpath Utility for Netfabb®, included in Netfabb Ultimate.
EBPA buildstyles can be computationally very demanding which can impede the preview experience using the slice layer slider. You may find yourself wanting to use
Apply Calculations more often than when working with
Netfabb's own slice processing operations.
To access EBPA buildstyles in a
Slices section, select the slice stack to be processed, and choose
EBPA Calculation from the main menu.
Choosing and configuring an EBPA
- On the tab
Choose EBPA, select from a list of EBPA methods for hatch patterns, hull and core generation, overhanging areas, and others.
Alternatively, you can use a Custom EBPA and navigate to an EBPA file you have placed at a custom location.
- Click
Next.
Note: You cannot proceed to the next tabs directly until the EBPA method has been set up.
- On the tab EBPA Parameters, make adjustments, if necessary. Otherwise, leave the checkbox Use Standard Settings checked.
- On the tab, Finalization, make your selection as to how the results should be delivered, either as raw hatches or to have some processing applied and the results delivered as some form of contour.
