Additional software installed with Netfabb complementing or extending its range of features
Several utilities that were only available in

Netfabb (formerly Premium) as well.
Netfabb
Ultimate, and with it
Optimization Utility
Lattice Topology Utility, has been retired and no longer receives updates. It is included in this article for historical reasons only; the last release for Netfabb Ultimate was 2025.1 of July 2024.

Overview
Several software tools are included in subscription and installation of Netfabb to address specific tasks in and around the design-to-part workflow.
Access the utilities from the main menu (Start build simulation), or separately from the list of installed software.
), from task-specific locations (in the context view of a LPBF machine workspace clickThe utilities are only available through a Netfabb subscription. They cannot be obtained separately.
TopSimulation Utility
(Netfabb)
Simulation Utility is the graphical user interface for the nonlinear finite-element thermo-mechanical solvers for metal-additive manufacturing processes.
Simulation Utility appears in two products: Autodesk® Netfabb® (formerly Premium) and Ultimate and Autodesk® Netfabb® Local Simulation, a product separate from Netfabb itself. In Netfabb, the simulation is limited in size and complexity, the type of simulation (MPBF only) as well is in the restriction to the material configurations included. In Local Simulation these limitations are not present and it provides capability to also simulate DED and to define your own materials.
TopAdvanced Toolpath Utility
(Netfabb)
Advanced Toolpath Utility is a development environment toolpath generation and build data export packages that can then be used by
Netfabb.
Optimization Utility
(Ultimate only, retired)
Optimization Utility generates lattices and iteratively improves them under static loads. It also improves full-volume geometry iteratively under load.
Lattice Topology Utility
(Ultimate only, retired)
Lattice Topology Utility is a design tool to create unit topologies for import into
Optimization Utility.
