Use the Rotation Anchor options to specify how the model in the CAD view is rotated. Click View tab > View Options panel > Rotation Anchor menu, and select:
- View to rotate the model around the whole view, including any parts that are not currently displayed in the CAD view.
- Visible View to rotate the model around the centre of the current view.
- Origin to rotate the model around the CAD datum.
- Selected Point to rotate the model around the rotation anchor. To select the anchor, use one of these methods:
- Right-click a feature in the sequence tree and select Rotation Anchor from the context menu. The menu option is unavailable when non-geometric items, such as groups and surface inspection points, are selected.
- Click Home tab > Mouse Context panel > Edit Geometrics, right-click a feature in the CAD view, and select Rotation Anchor from the context menu.
- Click Home tab > Mouse Context panel > Surface Selector, select one or more surfaces in the CAD view, then right-click and select Rotation Anchor from the context menu. The anchor is located at the centre of the selected surfaces.
The Selected Point option is automatically selected when you specify a rotation anchor.
