To import measured data

Import Measured Data enables you to copy results from another Measure to the current Measure. Use it to avoid reinspecting previously measured items when you move a part.

For example, you can use this option when a part is returned for remachining after an initial inspection shows a feature to be out of tolerance. By realigning the part, and then importing the data of the features that are in tolerance, you can limit the second inspection to measuring only the remachined feature.

To import measurement data into the current Measure:

  1. Measure the items used in the alignment.
  2. Reset any items for which you want to import measurement data.

Import Measured Data does not overwrite existing measurements.

  3. Click Measure tab > Edit panel > Import. The Import Measure dialog is displayed.

  4. In the list, select the Measure that contains the data you want to import, and click OK.

PowerInspect copies the measurement data from the selected Measure and automatically transforms it relative to the active alignment of the current Measure.
