The Tools tab > Machine panel controls direct communications between PowerInspect and your measuring device. Click:
- Connect to connect PowerInspect to and disconnect it from the measuring device.
- Home to move the probe to its home position
- Probes to display and edit the CMM settings for PowerInspect.
- Track.to display the position of the probe on the CMM using the Co-ordinates dialog.
- DRO to display the position of the probe on the CMM using the Digital Read-Out.
- Configure to specify the connection protocol for the measuring device
In dual-column mode, the Machine panel is replaced by a Machine 1 and a Machine 2 panel. These have the same options as the Machine panel, and enable you to configure each column separately.
Note: The Machine panel is available only when creating inspections for CNC and Manual machines.
