Definition of a Rigid Link in the Structure

To define a rigid link in a structure when at least 1 rigid link type is on the active list:

Manual assign mode

  • Select a rigid link type from the list.
  • Specify the primary node by selecting 1 node graphically or by entering a node number in the Master node field.
  • Specify one or more secondary nodes by selecting nodes graphically or by entering their numbers in the Slave nodes selection field.

According to list assign mode

  • Select a rigid link type from the list.
  • Specify the primary nodes by selecting a node (or nodes) graphically or by entering the numbers of the nodes in the Selection of primary nodes field.
  • Specify the parameters for secondary nodes: connection vector (determining a direction, orientation and length) and range (a radius of the R sphere). See the following image. All nodes located in the defined range are secondary nodes to the rigid link.
    1. The vector attached at primary nodes, determining the direction.
    2. The range (the sphere within which secondary nodes will be located).
