A radiant panel supplies heat directly to the floor or to panels in the wall or ceiling.
Required Objects
The radiant panel must have the following properties.
- It must be connected to a hot water loop.
- It must be connected to a chilled water loop.
- It must be attached to a conditioned zone.
Design Assumptions
- The radiant panel is modeled as a four pipe fan coil with no fan power at the moment.
Property | Value | Notes |
---|---|---|
Cooling discharge air temperature | 17°C | This is passive air movement. |
Heating discharge air temperature | 29.44°C | This is passive air movement. |
Cooling Coil
The cooling coil has the following assumptions.
Property | Value | Notes |
---|---|---|
Coil entering air temperature | N/A | Mix of air system and induced zone temperature. |
Design coil leaving air temperature | 17°C | It is on the colder side of discharge temperatures. |
Chilled water design inlet temperature | N/A | Set by the chilled water loop. |
Chilled water design outlet temperature | N/A | Set by the chilled water loop. |
Heating Coil
The heating coil has the following assumptions.
Property | Value | Notes |
---|---|---|
Coil entering air temperature | N/A | Mix of air system and induced zone temperature. |
Design coil leaving air temperature | 29.44°C | |
Hot water design inlet temperature | N/A | Set by the hot water loop. |
Hot water design outlet temperature | N/A | Set by the hot water loop. |
