Change Buildingbook calculation settings to allow for wall, floor, and ceiling openings.
The VOB Standard specifies many rules for calculating quantities. Rules differ depending on the trade for which the quantities are calculated, especially in regard to the subtraction of sub-areas, such as openings in walls or floors/ceilings/foundation slabs.
- Subelements like openings, windows, doors up to a size of 2.5 m² shall be ignored - if the walls are calculated by square measure (area).
- If the walls are calculated by solid measure (volume) the limitation is 0.5 m³.
- Click Quantification tab
Buildingbook Extension panel
(Calculation Settings).
The Calculation Settings dialog opens
- Make changes to the listed parameters as described in the table below.
- When complete:
- Click Restore Defaults to change the default settings of the standard listed at the top of the Calculation Settings dialog.
- Click Cancel to close the Calculation Settings dialog without making changes.
- Click OK to change the calculation settings as specified.
Name | Description |
---|---|
VOB - Wall Openings - by square measure | |
Ignore | Ignores opening subelements when calculating building part quantities when calculated by square measure. Either Yes or No. If Yes, the following range is considered. |
Area - equal to or less than |
The default value for this option is 2.5². Wall openings smaller than 2.5 m² are ignored when the walls are calculated by square measure. Openings larger than 2.5 m² are calculated. |
VOB - Wall Openings - by solid measure | |
Ignore | Ignores opening subelements when calculating building part quantities when calculated by solid measure. Either Yes or No. If Yes, the following range is considered. |
Volume - equal to or less than |
The default value for this option is 0.5². Wall openings smaller than 0.5 m² are ignored when the walls are calculated by solid measure. Openings larger than 0.5 m² are calculated. |
VOB - Floor, Ceiling, Foundation Slab Openings - by square measure | |
Ignore | Ignores opening subelements when calculating building part quantities when calculated by square measure. Either Yes or No. If Yes, the following range is considered. |
Area - equal to or less than |
The default value for this option is 0.1². Wall openings smaller than 0.1 m² are ignored when the walls are calculated by square measure. Openings larger than 0.1 m² are calculated. |
VOB - Floor, Ceiling, Foundation Slab Openings - by solid measure | |
