Keyboard Interface

The following table shows keys that have a special function.

Keystroke Action
Esc Undoes (after warning) all edits made since opening the current form and (for most forms) closes the form.
Enter Tab to next field on form exiting edit mode
F1 Display help message
F2 Toggles editing mode on/off in tables
F3 Clear data in the current row (or reset it to default values)
Alt Toggles in and out of menu bar mode
Alt+Spacebar Displays the active form system menu

Access Keys

Access keys to menu items or fields on forms enhance the keyboard interface. An access key is an underlined letter in the text of a menu item or field label. When a menu is active, a menu item can be selected by pressing the key that corresponds to the item's underlined letter. The menu bar can be made active by pressing the Alt key to highlight the first item on the menu bar. When a form is active, a field can be selected by pressing Alt plus the key that corresponds to the item's underlined letter.

F4 Fit graphic to window
F7 Zoom in
F8 Zoom out
F9 Maximize/Restore graphic window
F10 Set the 3D view direction (structure only)
F11 Toggle graphics window to Front / Back of other windows
Ctrl+F10 Set the 3D view direction to plan (structure only)
Shift+F10 Set the 3D view direction to isometric south west (structure only)
Shift+F11 View display tools
Ctrl+A Toggle between line & arc (whilst defining shape)
Ctrl+C Copy (whilst defining design section)
Mouse scroll wheel Zoom in/out

System Wide Accelerators

Alt+Esc Switches to next application
Alt+F4 Closes application or window
PrtScn Copies an image on the screen to the clipboard
Alt+PrtScn Copies an image in the active window to the clipboard
Shift Alt+Tab Switches to the previous application
