Export nest data for post-processing and toolpath creation in other applications. Before you start, you might want to make changes to the configuration file that Inventor Nesting uses for export.
- Select one or more sheets in the
Inventor Nesting browser.
- Click
Export
on the Inventor Nesting ribbon.
- Enter a file name and path and select a format for export.
You can export to:
- DXF (AutoCAD): Use this with a CAM package in AutoCAD to generate toolpaths, or import the DXF into Inventor to extrude it to a 3D model and create toolpaths and tabs using Inventor HSM.
- MSI (TruNest) files: Use Autodesk's dedicated nesting software TruNest to post-process and create toolpaths.
