Configure Vault Options for the AutoCAD Vault Add-in

Configure icon size, suppress the AutoCAD View, and manage prompts in the AutoCAD Vault Add-in.

Access Application Options

  • Click Options on the Vault ribbon.

Edit Options

  • By default, small icons are used to indicate status. Turn on the Use large status icons check box to display large icons.
  • Turn on Ignore AutoCAD View only changes to manipulate the view in the drawing file through panning, zooming, and so on, without being prompted to check out the drawing files.
  • Click Prompts to manage the default responses to prompts and the frequency with which you are prompted during your work session.

Revision Table Integration

  • Click Settings to configure how data is displayed as well as the type of content displayed in your revision tables. You can also configure which Vault properties are mapped to the revision table. Refer to Configure the Revision Table for more information.

Dialog Suppression

You can suppress the Check In dialog in the AutoCAD Vault Add-in. Each dialog has settings associated with it. You can specify default values for these dialogs and choose whether or not the dialogs actively prompt you while working with files in Vault. Refer to Suppress Dialogs in the AutoCAD Vault Add-in for more information.

  1. Turn on the check box next to a dialog box name to suppress that dialog.
  2. Click Settings to configure the Check In settings to control how files are stored in Vault, and .dwf attachment options.
  3. Click OK.

Manage Distributed Options

Use the Manage Distributed Options dialog to define, distribute and manage all the defined options.

Note: You must have an "Administrator" or "Configuration Administrator" role to manage and deploy distributed options.

Distributed Options – AutoCAD Vault Add-in

  1. Select Vault Options from the Vault ribbon.

  2. Configure status icons, ignore AutoCAD View Only changes to manipulate the view in the drawing file, and manage prompts for the AutoCAD Vault add-in. You can also suppress certain dialogs for a faster workflow.

  3. Click Apply to save the changes.

  4. Click Manage Distributed Options to select the options to distribute.

    You can distribute:

    • Use large status icons
    • Ignore AutoCAD View Only changes
    • Configure prompts
    • Dialog and Suppression Settings
  5. Click the checkbox beside the option you want to distribute.

  6. Click Apply to distribute the options.

Reset Distributed Options

  1. Click Reset.

  2. Click on the check box beside the option you want to reset

  3. Click on Reset… to System default or Reset… to Distributed option to immediately trigger the reset action and return to non-reset mode.

    • Reset to System default: Restore the system default options
    • Reset to Distributed option: Reset the settings to the distributed option level.
  4. Click on Apply to save and distribute the current distributed options. This option is only available for Administrator and Configuration Administrator.

  5. Click OK to apply and close the dialog.
