Insert a sketch symbol

Insert a sketch symbol in the Drawing workspace in Fusion.

Insert a sketch symbol after creating or importing it

1. Select Symbols > Sketch Symbols > Insert Sketch Symbol .

   The Sketch Symbols dialog displays.

2. Select the symbol from the list of available symbols in the Manage Sketch Symbols dialog.

3. Click to place it on the sheet.

4. In the Sketch Symbols dialog, click Done.

Import the sketch symbol you want to insert

1. Select Symbols > Sketch Symbols > Insert Sketch Symbol .

   The Sketch Symbols dialog displays.

2. In the Sketch Symbols dialog, click Manage Symbols.

   The Manage Sketch Symbols dialog displays.

3. Click Import .

   The Select Drawing or Template File dialog displays.

4. Select the drawing or template file you want to import the sketch symbol from.

5. Click Select.

   The symbol displays in the Manage Sketch Symbols dialog.

6. In the Manage Sketch Symbols dialog, click Done.

7. Select the symbol and click to place it on the sheet.

8. In the Sketch Symbols dialog, click Close.

Tip

• Import sketch symbols from files that use the same drawing standard as the current one to keep dimension values consistent.
