Add Xref labels to signals that connect between sheets

Apply Xref labels to nets that connect between sheets to show where the signal on a net links to a net on another sheet.

1. In the schematic document, in the Design tab, click Connect > Label , to open the Label command panel.

2. In the Label command panel, click Xref On.

   The Xref On icon is highlighted in blue.

3. In the canvas, click the net you want to label.

   A label appears showing the name of the signal, if one exists.

4. In the Label command panel rotate the label, if necessary.

5. In the canvas, click to place the label.

6. If you want to change the label text, click (Connect > Name) , then click the origin point (+) of the label.

7. In the Name dialog, enter the new name.

8. Click OK to save the new name and close the dialog.

9. On the other sheet where the connecting signal is located, repeat the steps above to place an identical label.

   When the second label is saved, text is automatically added to each label, showing the location of the other end of the signal.
