Work with Layers and Layer Sets

The Display Layers panel is found on the right of the design pane and enables you to:

The Display Layers panel is available when you are working on:

• schematics
• circuit boards
• libraries

1. On the Design toolbar, click Display Layers or click the sidebar to expand the Display Layers panel.
2. In the Display Layers panel, you can manage the following:

1. Hover over the title bar to display the More menu (vertical ellipsis).
2. Click the More menu to display the docking options and choose where the panel displays.
3. Click the Expand/Collapse control to show or hide the Display Layers panel.
4. Layer set list, select a layer set to display.
5. Displays the Layer Sets Manager dialog, where you can define new sets and modify existing ones.
6. Click to show/hide a single layer.
7. Click to lock the layer to prevent accidental movement.
8. Sets the active layer, click the button to make a layer the active one.
9. Adds a layer.
10. Deletes the selected layer.
11. Expand/collapse the active layer Details section of the panel.
12. Describes the data maintained on the selected layer.
13. Modifies the layer appearance properties.
14. Modifies the layer material properties.
15. Resets the layer properties to their default values.
