Published libraries

Published, or managed, libraries are centralized libraries hosted on library.io. Library.io is an Autodesk server that facilitates remote access and sharing of libraries. Managed libraries are especially useful for larger project teams, as they provide a good management regime for library updates and user access.

You can link your local team library to a managed library for one-directional access everything in the managed library. You will receive notifications, in the team library, of any changes to the linked library on library.io.

Alternatively, you can publish your team library to library.io to enable bi-directional syncing of library updates. Publishing your team library to library.io to create a managed library ensures that changes made to your local library can be pushed to the managed library, and changes to the managed library can be pulled to your local library. As the owner of the managed library, you manage access for other team members, including write access. Teams can collaborate more effectively, with all members having the ability to contribute to the library.

When you publish your team library to library.io, you can choose to make it public or private. Public libraries are accessible to all users, while private libraries are only accessible to users you invite.
