Inventor provides commands to allow mesh customization, thereby giving you control over the solution quality and efficiency. The commands control both global and local settings for the mesh.
- Mesh Settings apply to the component in a global sense.
- Mesh settings are established for each simulation.
- For Parametric Dimension simulations, one mesh setting applies to all parameter ranges.
- Local Mesh settings apply to specific faces and edges selected by you. Local mesh refinement allows you to vary the mesh size to provide more concise coverage for specific features.
- Mesh View applies the mesh settings to the component in the view and produces the graphical mesh representation. A progress dialog box communicates the mesh process status.
Mesh Display
When meshes are generated the node and element count is displayed in the upper left corner of the graphics region.
If simulation results are also visible, the node and element count visibility is managed with the Color Bar information. Thus, with results visible, when the Color Bar visibility is set to Off, the node and element count is also not visible.
Exclude components
You can select components in the mesh failure folder to exclude from your simulation.
