Tutorial 3 demonstrates the use of the linear elastic functionality in Simulation Composite Analysis. Follow the instructions to create and analyze a simple composite plate with Abaqus/CAE.
Define a Composite Layup
After the part and the material have been created, a composite layup section can be created.
Define an Assembly
To apply boundary conditions, loads, etc., and instance of the part must be added to the assembly.
Create an Analysis Step
Define a step that allows boundary conditions and output requests to be added to the model.
Define Field Output Requests
In order to use Abaqus Viewer to examine the fiber and matrix failure states generated by Simulation Composite Analysis, you must request that state variables (SDV) be printed in the Abaqus output (.odb) file.
