  Function

Click a component.

Snap the manipulator to the center of a component.

Note: The manipulator only snaps along the active axis handle.

Ctrl-click a component.

Aim the active axis handle toward a component.

Shift-drag the manipulator along a surface.

Slide the manipulator along a surface.

Note: The manipulator is constrained to the active surface, letting you position the manipulator anywhere on the object.

Ctrl + Shift-click a component.

Align the pivot to a component.

Click outside of the object.

Reset the position of the custom pivot.

Ctrl-click outside of the object.

Reset the orientation of the custom pivot.

Ctrl + Shift-click outside the object.

Reset the position and orientation of the custom pivot.

Multi-Cut Tool
Hotkey Function
When no cut or slice points have been placed:
  • Ctrl-click
  • Ctrl + -click (snap to the middle of the path)
  • Ctrl + Shift-click (snap to increments of the Snap Step %)

Insert an edge loop.

When cut points have been placed:
  • Shift-click an edge (snap to increments of the Snap Step %)
  • Shift-drag over an edge (set the Snap Step % interactively)

Snap cut points to an edge.

Backspace

Remove cut/slice points.

Backspace/Delete

Delete highlighted edges.

Z/Shift + Z

Undo/redo any action.

Drag

Reposition cut/slice points.

-drag a slice plane

Reposition a slice plane.

-drag anywhere on the mesh

Quick slice a mesh.

-click

Complete a cut or slice.

Esc

Cancel a cut or slice operation.
