Workspaces
Select a predefined "factory" or custom workspace from the list. Workspaces are arrangements of windows and panels, plus other interface options. See
Workspaces.
The predefined workspaces include the default
Maya Classic, as well as several others designed for various groups of tasks.
In addition, the following options are available:
- Reset "<Workspace>" to Factory Default/Reset "<Workspace>" to Previously Saved discards any changes you have made to the current workspace. Predefined workspaces are restored to their default configuration, and custom workspaces are restored to the last saved configuration.
- Save Current Workspace As saves the current configuration as a new custom workspace. If you specify the name of an existing custom workspace, the old configuration is overwritten.
- Import Workspace Files lets you import one or more custom workspace definition files.
- Delete Current Workspace removes the current custom workspace from your preferences. You cannot delete predefined workspaces.
- Disable Docking/Undocking prevents docking and undocking of windows and panels. It does not prevent other changes to workspaces, such as opening, closing, or moving windows, collapsing panels, and so on.
