Export All/Selection Options

Use these options to set what happens when you select File > Export All or File > Export Selection. See also Export objects to a new file.

General Options

File type

Specifies the file type to use for the scene export. The selected file type determines which export options appear in the Export Options window.

Default file extensions

When on (default), exports the file with the extension for the selected File type.

File Type Specific Options

These options change depending on what you select as the File type in the General Options.
Use full names for attributes on nodes

For .mlt files, lets you toggle whether to use full names.

Note: When you export a selection, parents of selected nodes are also exported.
Include
Connections
  • Include Children: When on (default), the hierarchy below the selected object(s) is included in the export.

Thumbnail/Playblast Options

These are the same options as in Save Scene Options. See Create thumbnails and playblasts for scene files for information on using these options.

Edit presets

By default (when you select FBX Export as the file type to export), Maya LT uses the Autodesk Media & Entertainment preset to export the file. This preset provides the optimal settings for most animation workflows. Click Edit preset to modify this preset, or adjust options and create your own. See Creating a custom preset.
