You can insert details in model space and paper space. To configure details, see To Configure Details.
- Click Home tab
Annotation panel Insert Detail.
- Select the feature for which to insert a detail.
For example, click the line for which to insert a cross sectional view, the vault for which to insert a vault detail or switch diagram, or the feature for which to add an annotation.
If the selected feature contains other features, you are prompted to specify the feature for which to insert the detail block.
- Do any of the following:
- Press ESC to specify the container.
- Click a contained feature from the list.
- Click Exit to bypass further options and insert the detail.
- The following options are available:
- Gallery: Select a detail from the Gallery.
- Leader: Enter l to add a leader line with the detail.
- Rotate: Enter r and specify two points to define the rotation angle.
- Scale: Enter a scale value.
- Window: Scale the detail by defining a window using two points.
- Click to position the detail.
If you have inserted a vault detail or underground segment cross section, you can also specify mount points and duct points.
For Annotation details, you can select a Text Rule to apply. For example, you might create a rule to list materials and contained materials for a feature.
