Create a compensated mesh body after solving a Process Simulation study

Fusion Manufacturing Extension

This feature is part of an extension. Extensions are a flexible way to access additional capabilities in Fusion. Learn more.

After viewing and analyzing the simulated results, optionally create a mesh body that automatically compensates for the displacement predicted in the process simulation.

  1. If the Results contextual environment is not open:

    1. In the Browser, ensure that the Process Simulation study whose results you want to view is active.
    2. On the Manufacture workspace toolbar, click Additive > Process Simulation > Results View results view icon.

The Results contextual environment opens and shows the mesh of the part colored according to the active results type.

  2. Click Edit > Create Compensated Mesh Body create compensated mesh body icon.

The Results contextual environment closes. A mesh body is added to the manufacturing model, and it becomes visible on the canvas.

You can now perform a Process Simulation study on the newly created mesh body.

Note: This feature is available only when you select a machine with additive MPBF capabilities.
