Fusion Manufacturing Extension

This feature is part of an extension. Extensions are a flexible way to access additional capabilities in Fusion. Learn more.

After viewing and analyzing the simulated results, optionally create an .stl file of the warped part as predicted in the process simulation.

  1. If the Results contextual environment is not open:

    1. In the Browser, ensure that the Process Simulation study whose results you want to view is active.
    2. On the Manufacture workspace toolbar, click Additive > Process Simulation > Results View results view icon.

The Results contextual environment opens and shows the mesh of the part colored according to the active results type.

  2. Click Actions > Export Warped STL export warped stl icon.

The Please Select the STL File Location dialog opens.

  3. Find and select a folder location, enter a File Name, and then click Save.

  4. Click Finish Results finish results icon.

    The Results contextual environment closes.

You can now use the .stl file and compare it to scans of the real, physical part to validate the predicted displacement, or use it to check that the part fits within its intended assembly.

Note: This feature is available only when you select a machine with additive MPBF capabilities.
