There are a few stages you will want to consider when getting ready to nest shapes from your design.
The first (optional), is to select what types of objects to include in your nest. For example, you might have a large model from which you only want to nest sheet metal parts. Or you might want to nest only certain surfaces of objects. Do this in the Design workspace using the Nest Preparation dialog.
Next, select materials and packaging that you want to use to manufacture your parts. Do this in the Material Properties Library.
Finally, you can adjust sources using the Component Sources dialog. This enables you to not only select sources for your nest, but add parts from other models, and adjust nesting properties such as rotation allowance, binding, and more.
