Outcome View

The Outcome View provides a variety of viewing tools that enable you to examine and explore an outcome in detail.

Here you can examine an outcome from different angles and distances, view outcome properties, select an outcome iteration.

1. Explore contextual environment > Outcome View tab

Use the commands here to display outcome's 3D view, transparent view, stress distribution map, or design preview of an outcome. You can also show the preserve, obstacle, and starting shape geometries from your study setup to see how they influenced the final shape. Here you can open the Comparison View, tag an outcome iteration, and create a design from an outcome as well.

The tools on the Display and Show panels let you switch between views.

Display panel

Note: You can only select one view at a time. By default, the Design Preview is selected.

Show panel

Note: You can select multiple views to display different types of design space geometries on the selected outcome simultaneously.

Compare panel

Select Compare to return to the Explore contextual tab and select outcomes to compare.

Tag panel

Use the tools on the Tag panel to add an outcome iteration to favorites or add a label to an outcome iteration.

Create panel

Use the tools on the Create panel to create a design or mesh design from an outcome. Additionally, you can open the Job Status dialog to track the processing status of the generative jobs.

Finish Outcome View

Click Finish Outcome View finish explore icon to exit the Outcome View contextual tab and return to the Explore contextual tab.

View the status of creating a new design or mesh design from an outcome. The button color changes depending on the job status. Click the button to display more status-specific information.

The blue button indicates that the operation is in progress. On success, the button color changes to green. When you click the green button, a dialog opens from which you can open a new design.

The purple button indicates that the design preview is available. You can only see it for the final outcome iteration.

3. Outcome View toolbar

Use these tools to orbit, pan, and zoom an outcome. You can also roll the outcome and fit it to view.

4. Iterations bar

Drag the iterations bar to select a desired outcome iteration and release it to load the iteration in the Outcome View. The iterations bar shows the total number of iterations available for an outcome. By default, final iteration is loaded when you enter the Outcome View.

Here you can also find icons that indicate when an iteration is recommended recommended icon, when you added an outcome iteration to favorites favorites icon, added a label labels icon, or created a design from the iteration export sat all views icon.

5. Iteration preview

Provides a visual representation of an outcome iteration.

6. ViewCube

Use the ViewCube to orbit your design or view the design from standard view options.

7. Properties pane

Displays a thumbnail and properties of the outcome viewed in the Outcome View.

You can customize the properties by using the Visibility settings option.
